Georgia CDL Test Locations 2026: Current DDS Skills-Test Sites

Current Georgia CDL skills-test locations for 2026, including the DDS facility list, Cumming's Class B/C restriction, third-party testing options, and appointment rules.

Georgia does not give CDL skills tests at every Customer Service Center. The legacy FastLessonHub page's designated-city list is now stale. Georgia DDS's current testing-site page shows a different DDS facility roster and also lists approved third-party testing sites. Verify the live DDS page before traveling because locations and services can change.

Knowledge tests and skills tests are different

CDL knowledge testing is handled through Georgia DDS Customer Service Centers that offer the applicable written testing service. The CDL skills test is limited to designated DDS facilities and approved third-party sites. Do not assume the office where you passed the knowledge tests also provides a Class A or Class B road test.

  • Brunswick — 134 Jack Hartman Boulevard, Brunswick, GA.
  • Cumming — 400 Aquatic Circle, Cumming, GA. Current DDS testing information limits this site to Class B and Class C CDL testing; Class A applicants should use another site.
  • Dalton — 235 Wagner Drive, Dalton, GA.
  • Gainesville — 1010 Aviation Boulevard, Gainesville, GA.
  • Jackson — 149 Riverview Park Road, Jackson, GA.
  • Milledgeville — 200 Carl Vinson Road, Milledgeville, GA.

Third-party CDL testing is also available

Georgia DDS also publishes approved third-party testing sites. The current roster includes technical-college locations and other approved testers around the state. Third-party availability can help when a DDS site is distant or booked, but confirm the tester handles your license class and vehicle type, what it charges, and whether you must bring your own vehicle.

How to schedule a DDS road test

DDS road tests require an appointment. The current DDS instructions direct CDL applicants to complete the required online License/ID/Permit form and use the online appointment scheduler. The old FastLessonHub instruction that treated telephone scheduling as the normal path should not be relied on.

  • Hold the CLP for at least 14 days before the skills test.
  • Arrive at least 20 minutes early.
  • The DDS skills-test fee is $50 per attempt.
  • Give at least 72 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule without forfeiting the appointment fee.
  • After a failed CDL road skills test, wait at least two days before retesting.

Georgia now uses the Modernized Commercial Driver Test

Georgia DDS announced in June 2026 that the statewide transition to the Modernized Commercial Driver Testing model was complete. Use the current Georgia vehicle-inspection checklist and training materials that match the modernized test rather than old pre-trip scripts built around a retired test sequence.

Before you drive to a test site

  1. Open the current DDS CDL Testing Sites page and confirm the site is still listed.
  2. Confirm the site tests your class; Cumming is not a Class A site under the current list.
  3. Verify the appointment in the DDS scheduling system.
  4. Check the exact street address and travel time.
  5. Confirm your vehicle, registration, insurance, and modernized inspection checklist are ready.
